Ready To Go Fishing
Well its late March already and I have not gone fishing yet. Have to get that first spring fishing trip in before the license expires. There are some big fish out there and they are hungry. I have seen some big ones taken this time of the year on rapalas. I havent had any pictures emailed to me yet but I expect them to start coming in. If not I will have to catch some fish and add my own pictures. It would be nice to see people really get into the top ten trout. Right now I can have the top spot with any size trout. Save this site to your favorites to get the latest fishing reports and to see who catches the biggest fish by the end of the year.

Unfortunately, I did not get the last few fishing trips in on my 2007 license. Hopefully someone got the thrill of getting their line wet before the season came to an end. I just got my new license with all the bells and whistles (stamps) and hope to get the Waterdog wet at Cochiti tomorrow.
It's almost too close to Rio Rancho, but hey one hour and on the waters not too bad for living in the desert. I remember a friend visiting one summer and on the way out to the West Side, he said, "I've never seen so much sand and so little water." I guess most anglers out here can really appreciate a lake like Cochiti considering where we live. With a little luck and not too much wind tomorrow maybe this first trip will pan out.
I know this state lacks in its bass, but do you think New Mexico Angler will ever have a top ten bass?
